Playing

..with Lockerz.

A colleague invited me to try it out. Sure, it takes a lot of time to play the videos and earn 2 points from them. But she knows someone who was able to redeem the points earned for an iPod just by playing. You can also earn points by asnwering the daily questions. What the heck. Just play along with it, right?

Talking about Cars

Owning a car amps your status. Everyone will think that you have it made or that you must be someone really successful. A colleague once advised me to think twice about buying a car. Especially since I don't know how to drive and that I am just renting a room.  Yes, the idea of paying for a car insurance, the monthly payments, parking space and the maintenance scares me. It was the very reasons why I opted to not buy a car at all. I thought I could do it but in my very immature ways I know it will be any time soon when trouble will happen. I thought about running over a person on the road and killing a person. But that is a different concern to the reason why I write about cars today.

When my older sister told me that she will be buying a car, I thought it has to be something that will withstand winter. I don't want her driving around Chicago and then the car breaks down in the middle of the road. It pays to know about a good auto repair shop that will do just about anything for you especially brake job. But I just love the Chevrolet Silverado, don't you?

I came across a website that lists Dallas auto repair shops. It contains the shops name, their addresses, phone numbers and the cars they repair. The shops are even in Google maps so you would not have a hard time locating the store. In the website, it will allow you to find the best car shop based on your car model and get a quotation on how much the repair will cost. For example, when I entered the car model Toyota, it will retrieve a list of auto shops that repairs Toyota cars. I most especially like the estimates provided for car repairs on the website.

This is really helpful. Tell your friends, especially if they who live in Dallas area or for someone who travels by car a lot, about Repair Pal. This is such an informational website and it help saves time from moving to one shop to the next.

Another Excerpt

When he'd asked why she seemed unable to settle down, her answer had been straightforward:

"There are guys who grow up thinking they'll settle down some distant time in the future, and there are guys who are ready for marriage as soon as they meet the right person. The former bore me, mainly because they're pathetic; and the latter, quite frankly, are hard to find. But it's the serious ones I'm interested in, and it takes time to find a guy like that whom i'm equally interested in. I mean, if the relationship can't survive the long term, why on earth would it be worth my time and energy for the short term?"

---The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks---

No, really, I just don't have an idea what title to give to this post. But, anyhow.

I hate the fact that my other blog site has become too wordy and contains lots of posts that I personally don’t have any idea about or even relate to. But because it is also about the money, rather than just have people come over and inspect your grammar, might as well earn money from it.

This blog, once again, has taken that Sabbatical Leave just like what happened last year. School has taken too much of my time and trying to earn that extra money online. I am counting the months, weeks and days when I will be saying goodbye to my comfort zone. I just want to make sure that I don’t lose that focus.

I have quite a collection of academic books in different fields of study. I just don’t have the discipline to stop buying them or even finish reading them. Oh, wait. I did finish one. Shit! Countless books more to go. Why oh why do I voluntarily drown myself in all this. Crazy! But I’m loving it. Come to think of it. You know what they say about," Jack of all Trades and Master of None." I am slowly becoming one.

One of my professors said to accept all invitations and learn to have fun. Uhm, I don’t know about accepting all invitations since I know some will definitely get me into trouble. I did plan to go to Leyte this weekend to attend the baptism of my god daughter Gabrielle Pauline Milan but duty calls on Monday and it’s major crunch time again in school. I guess Baby Bettina Bunny will be delivered late.

Another Sappy Movie

in February, Dear John.

I promised myself to not watch those sappy love stories anymore. But, if it's from Nicholas Sparks, why not? I loved A Walk To Remember and The Notebook.
